*Sigh*

Well, today is my due date. And baby is still not here. It's kind of depressing, let alone uncomfortable. He will come soon, though. I will be induced on Saturday morning if he doesn't show before then. I am really hoping he will. Even though it was my choice to schedule induction, I would rather not have to deal with pitocin. It's evil stuff, I hear.

Anyway, I just thought I'd give an update. It's a very nice thought that the next post I write will be the announcement of the birth of our baby boy! And he finally has a name! But I'm not telling now! Sorry! I kind of like keeping it a secret!

Child #2 is almost here!

I can't believe that we almost have another child pretty soon! I am sooooo excited to be having a boy! At first I wanted another girl, but then thought whatever we have will be just wonderful. Now we will have a bodyguard for Ella when she starts dating in 14 years!!!!

It will be great to put that baseball in his hand right when I see him! He he! If allowed I would have him in D-Backs or ASU gear immediately and he would be hearing me sing the ASU fight song all day long! GO DEVILS!!!!!!!!! I think Lindsay would put the hammer down on that really quickly though! In all seriousness I am just wanting a healthy baby. Heavenly father has blessed us so much this year and we are grateful that this little child has been placed into our home! Also I am sure Ella cannot wait to have a "baby brother" as she says to boss around all day long too!

Almost There!

I now officially have less than four weeks to go! Only one day less, but hey, I'll take it! It would be very nice to have him a week early, but no sooner than that. I have way too much going on before then.

Anyway, I got curious about how I am compared to how I was with Ella (size-wise). So, I actually took two pictures of myself! I only took one with Ella and sort of, very minutely regretted not taking more. Oh well!

Here is my belly when I was about 35 weeks 4 days pregnant with Ella. It was actually taken exactly one month before she was born. I wish I would have gotten a different/better angle. I don't think I was as small as the picture shows. But maybe I was. I don't remember.

And here are a couple of me from today, 36 weeks 1 day. I am definitely bigger. No wonder I hurt more! I also started out about 20 pounds heavier this pregnancy with this baby. Please excuse my make-up-less face and uncombed, still damp hair. I was too lazy to fix myself up.

Our Little Girl

Just for fun, here are a couple of recent pictures of Ella.

We gave her a pillow a few weeks ago, and this was her first time using it. It took her a week to actually start sleeping on it.

This was taken this morning. At Christmas, my four-year old niece received two pairs of the same slippers, so they gave Ella one of the pairs. It was cold this morning, so I put them on her. She loves shoes, so she did not mind that they are gigantic on her!

February: The Month of Love

I have always considered February to be one of my favorite months. It's *typically* a rainy month (I love rain), the temperature starts to warm up a bit, but not too much, Valentine's Day takes place in this month, and until this year, I have always looked forward to my birthday which is also in February.

I never had any problems with growing older. In fact, I always got excited to get older. However, things this year have drastically changed, and I don't understand why. I mean, I would understand it if I were turning 30, but I'm not! I'm going to be 26 in two weeks from tomorrow. Yuck. Being 26 means I am closer to 30 than 20. Not that I want to be 20, but I do feel I should still be 23. Weird, I know.

So, this will be the first time in the history of my life that I wish February would just get over with. Besides, I have a lot to look forward to in March. February is just getting in the way!

Happy Valentine's Day next week!

A Little Behind

This pregnancy has been completely different than with Ella. Not in a bad way, but different. I didn't really feel pregnant with her. And I definitely do this time!

Anyway, as you can see on my ticker, I am 33 weeks, almost 34 weeks along. Yay! Only a little over 6 weeks left! It has gone by so fast. Yikes. Six weeks and I don't feel even close to being ready. I did get out Ella's old carseat, swing, and pack and play and clean them up. And I washed the clothes my sister gave me. But that's it. Unfortunately, there's not really anything else I can do. Ella is still in the crib, so that's already set up.We will be getting her a twin size bed soon. Hopefully we'll be able to with our tax returns. But we're hoping and praying we'll even have enough for a rental deposit. We're planning to move in April.

Back to the point of the post. I have a problem, and I think it stems from time going by so fast. And a little something called "pregnancy brain". And old age. I'm turning 26 in less than a month. Yikes! But that's a whole other post! Okay, so it's not really a problem, but I think it's rather amusing. I cannot keep it in my head exactly how far along I am! I did not have this problem with Ella. If somebody asked me how far along I was, I would be able to spit it out immediately. However, now, if somebody asks me, I give an answer starting with "umm", followed by silence because I'm thinking, and then finally saying, "I think I'm about ___ weeks but I'm actually not exactly sure." Sad, huh. I usually get it within a couple weeks, though.

Recently, I have been trying to keep track better. I have been doing okay, but now I find myself thinking that I am a week behind what I really am. At 31 weeks, I thought I was 30 weeks. Last week, I thought I finally had it down. And I did. I was 32 weeks, and I knew it. Something went wrong. My brain forgot to change weeks on Thursday and I kept thinking I was 32 weeks all weekend. I got a nice surprise this morning when I saw my ticker. That's the upside to my problem.

Sorry about my rambling! I always do that, but that's how I am when I write. I think I learned it in college. This was actually supposed to be a short post. Oops!

Christmas!

It's a little late, but oh well!

We had a great Christmas this year. It was so fun watching Ella open her gifts and getting excited about what was inside. She loved all the new toys and clothes she got, but her most favorite toy is her baby doll. She is either holding it, asking for it, or sleeping with it. She loves her 'babies' (that's what she calls it) so much, she feeds it, tries to wrap it up in its blanket (we usually do this for her), and just treats it like a real baby. If this is any indication, she will be a great big sister!

She also got a pop-up toy she has already mastered, My Pal Scout, a MagnaDoodle, clothes, and a Little People set from us/Santa. She got puzzles from my parents, and my sister also got her puzzles not knowing my parents did! She loves trying to fit the pieces in! She hasn't quite gotten it, but with a little practice, she will get it soon enough. Her Grandma and Grandpa Newman got her an adorable little red dress. She looks so cute in it! From the Newman family's gift exchange on Christmas Eve, she got a little puppy pull-toy and a cute little tutu! I would have to say Ella made out like a bandit!

Craig and I also exchanged gifts with each other. Mostly things we needed, but also some fun stuff.

We had a great time with both our families on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We are so lucky to have almost all our family living so close to us.
